How long does a Cure It GRP roof actually last?

Properly installed, you should expect 25–30+ years of leak-free service. The materials carry a 20-year manufacturer's guarantee, and Cure It has been independently tested to BS and ETAG standards, which is the gold standard for flat-roof waterproofing in the UK.

How much does a new GRP flat roof cost?

It depends on size, access, the state of the existing deck and the level of detail (upstands, trims, lead flashings). As a rough guide, a typical 15m² garage or extension roof usually falls between £1,800 and £3,500 fully installed. We give a fixed price after a site visit — never a vague "from £X" headline figure.

How long does the installation take?

Most domestic roofs take 1–3 working days from strip-off to finished topcoat. We monitor the forecast carefully — GRP cures best in dry conditions, and we'd rather reschedule a day than rush a roof that has to last 25 years.

Can you install during winter?

Yes. Cure It is engineered as a four-season system — with cold-weather accelerator we can install in temperatures down to around 0°C, and the new Cure It ONE single-coat system works across an even wider temperature range. We just need a dry window.

Will it pass Building Control?

Yes. The Cure It system holds LABC Registered Detail status and carries CE marking. For warm-roof builds on extensions, we install to full Part L compliance and supply the paperwork your Building Control officer needs.

Can you overlay my existing felt roof?

Almost never the right answer, honestly. GRP needs to bond to a clean, dry, structurally sound OSB3 deck — anything else risks the new roof failing prematurely. We'll always strip back to deck, inspect, replace any rotten boards, and start from a clean base. It costs slightly more but it's the only way to give you a real 20-year guarantee.
